If your serious about a culinary arts job, whether you're finished with school or not, you should start looking now. From the time you start working towards a degree in culinary arts to the time you graduate, you will probably want to begin looking for culinary arts jobs just to get a feel for what is available and how you might market yourself better to find the job of your dreams. The networking and research you do now will help you exponentially further down the road. Even asking your teachers and mentors for tips on job hunting or asking if they know of any restaurant that is hiring can help you land a job. Once the word is out that you are looking for a job, hopefully some of your supporters will put in a good word for you here and there. Culinary Arts Jobs: Where To Look Finding culinary arts jobs may seem a little difficult at first. It is a fairly specialized field, and usually the better culinary arts jobs will only be available in larger cities. However, if you take your time looking for culinary arts jobs, eventually you will find one. Sometimes hunting for any job in any field can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack, but don't give up hope; you will find a good job eventually. Occasionally your culinary arts school may even have a placement service to help you find culinary arts jobs once you graduate. You may be able to do an internship at a restaurant, which can help you network even more and may be instrumental in finding you a job in that restaurant once you graduate. No matter how great a chef you are, you will have to prove yourself with any job you take on.
